Years in the making, the completed version of the $47 million Shaw Centre, which includes a swimming pool that meets standards for virtually all international meets, was officially unveiled Thursday morning on Saskatoon's westside.

 

“Saskatoon residents have yet another reason to be very proud,” said Mayor Don Atchison.

“The Shaw Centre is a world-class facility where our community can come together to participate in sporting, cultural and recreational activities. This outstanding facility will allow us to attract national and international aquatic events and championships which will benefit the economy of our city.
