Biography
Andy Iwanchuk grew up on a farm in Whitkow, Saskatchewan and later moved to the City of North Battleford. He attended the University of Saskatchewan and received his Bachelor of Arts Advanced Degree in Political Science and Sociology.He has served in leadership roles in several community organizations, including the United Way of Saskatoon and Area. Prior to being elected, Andy was employed by the Saskatchewan Legal Aid Commission and as a Staff Representative for the Canadian Union of Public Employees.
Andy was first elected to the Legislative Assembly in a March 2003 by-election. He was later re-elected in the general elections in November 2003 and 2007.
Andy is currently the Opposition Whip and the Opposition Critic for Labour.
Andy and Ann enjoy a blended family of three children - Tasha (fiancé Jerry); Alecia (partner Dave) and Jaclyn. They also have one grandson, Drake.
